Ash Tree
The Ash Tree is a deciduous tree belonging to the genus Fraxinus. It is commonly found in North America, Europe, and Asia, known for its tall stature and broad canopy. Ash trees can grow up to 80 feet high and have distinctive compound leaves, which typically consist of 5 to 11 leaflets.
These trees are valued for their strong, flexible wood, often used in furniture and sports equipment. However, many ash trees are threatened by the invasive Emerald Ash Borer, a beetle that damages the tree's vascular system, leading to its decline and death. Conservation efforts are underway to protect remaining populations.
