Art-Net
Art-Net is a communication protocol used in the entertainment industry to transmit lighting control data over Ethernet networks. It allows various lighting devices, such as LEDs and moving lights, to be controlled from a central console, enabling complex lighting designs for events, concerts, and theater productions.
Developed in the late 1990s, Art-Net is widely adopted due to its flexibility and compatibility with many lighting control systems. It supports multiple universes of DMX data, making it possible to control a large number of fixtures simultaneously, enhancing the creative possibilities for lighting designers.
