Arrokoth
Arrokoth is a small, icy body located in the Kuiper Belt, a region of the solar system beyond the orbit of Neptune. It was discovered in 2014 and is notable for being the most distant object ever visited by a spacecraft, New Horizons, which flew by it in January 2019.
The shape of Arrokoth resembles a snowman, consisting of two lobes connected by a narrow neck. This unique structure suggests that it formed from the gentle collision of two smaller bodies, providing valuable insights into the early solar system's formation and the building blocks of planets.
