Arno Breker
Arno Breker was a German sculptor born on July 26, 1900, in Elberfeld, Germany. He is best known for his large-scale sculptures that often depicted idealized human forms, reflecting the artistic style of Neoclassicism. Breker gained prominence during the 1930s and 1940s, particularly for his works commissioned by the Nazi Party, which used his art to promote their ideology.
His sculptures were characterized by their muscular figures and dramatic poses, aiming to convey strength and heroism. After World War II, Breker faced criticism for his association with the Nazi regime and struggled to regain his reputation. He continued to create art until his death on February 13, 1991.
