Army of Republika Srpska
The Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) was the military force of the self-proclaimed Republika Srpska, a Bosnian Serb entity during the Bosnian War from 1992 to 1995. It was established to defend the interests of the Bosnian Serb population and operated under the political leadership of the Serbian Democratic Party.
The VRS was involved in various military operations and was known for its role in significant events, including the Siege of Sarajevo and the Srebrenica massacre. After the war, the army was disbanded, and its functions were integrated into the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the peace agreement.
