Arab Coalition
The Arab Coalition is a military alliance formed in 2015, primarily to support the internationally recognized government of Yemen during the ongoing civil war. The coalition is led by Saudi Arabia and includes several other Arab nations, such as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Its main goal is to restore the Yemeni government and counter the influence of the Houthi movement, which is backed by Iran.
The coalition has conducted numerous airstrikes and ground operations in Yemen, aiming to weaken the Houthi forces. However, the conflict has led to a humanitarian crisis, with millions of Yemenis facing famine and lack of medical care. International organizations have called for peace talks and a resolution to the conflict to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
