Aokigahara
Aokigahara, also known as the Sea of Trees, is a dense forest located at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. Spanning approximately 30 square kilometers, it is known for its unique ecosystem, featuring a variety of trees, plants, and wildlife. The forest attracts many visitors for its natural beauty and hiking trails.
Despite its serene appearance, Aokigahara has a reputation as a site associated with suicide, leading to its nickname as the "Suicide Forest." In recent years, efforts have been made to raise awareness about mental health and provide support for those in need, while preserving the forest's natural environment.
