Antiochus VI
Antiochus VI was a king of the Seleucid Empire who reigned from 175 to 164 BCE. He was a child when he ascended to the throne, and his rule was heavily influenced by powerful regents, particularly Eupator, his guardian. His reign was marked by political instability and conflict, including struggles against rival factions within the empire.
During his time, the Seleucid Empire faced challenges from external forces, such as the rising power of Rome and the Maccabean Revolt in Judea. Antiochus VI's reign ultimately ended with his death, which contributed to the further decline of the Seleucid Empire.
