Anna of Oldenburg
Anna of Oldenburg was a German noblewoman born in 1485. She was the daughter of John IV, Duke of Oldenburg and Elisabeth of Denmark. Anna became the Duchess of Saxe-Lauenburg through her marriage to Magnus I, Duke of Saxe-Lauenburg in 1500, strengthening ties between the two regions.
Throughout her life, Anna was known for her role in promoting the Reformation in her duchy. She supported the spread of Protestant ideas and was involved in various charitable activities. Anna passed away in 1525, leaving a legacy of influence in both her family and the broader religious landscape of her time.
