Animal Tissues
Animal tissues are groups of cells that work together to perform specific functions in the body. There are four main types of animal tissues: epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue. Each type has unique characteristics and roles, such as protecting organs, supporting structures, enabling movement, and transmitting signals.
Epithelial tissue covers surfaces and lines cavities, while connective tissue supports and binds other tissues. Muscle tissue is responsible for movement, and nervous tissue transmits signals throughout the body. Together, these tissues form organs and systems that maintain the overall function of an animal's body.
