Andromeda I
Andromeda I is a prominent galaxy located approximately 2.537 million light-years from Earth. It is the nearest spiral galaxy to our Milky Way and is part of the Local Group, which includes other galaxies like Triangulum and the Milky Way. Andromeda I is known for its bright core and extensive spiral arms, making it a subject of interest for astronomers.
This galaxy is estimated to contain around one trillion stars, significantly more than the Milky Way. Andromeda I is on a collision course with our galaxy, expected to merge in about 4.5 billion years, leading to the formation of a new galaxy often referred to as Milkomeda.
