Andrea Pozzo
Andrea Pozzo was an Italian painter and architect born in 1642 in Trento. He is best known for his work in the Baroque style, particularly for his stunning ceiling frescoes that create the illusion of three-dimensional space. Pozzo's most famous work is the ceiling of the Church of Sant'Ignazio in Rome, where he skillfully used perspective to enhance the visual impact of the artwork.
In addition to painting, Pozzo was also an accomplished architect and wrote a treatise on perspective titled Perspectiva Pictorum et Architectorum. His techniques in perspective and illusionism greatly influenced later artists and architects, making him a significant figure in the history of art.
