Andorran Politics
Andorra is a small, landlocked principality located between France and Spain. Its political system is unique, as it is a co-principality, meaning it has two heads of state: the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain. This arrangement reflects its historical ties and influences from both neighboring countries.
The Andorran Parliament, known as the Consell General, is a unicameral legislature with 28 members elected for four-year terms. The government is led by a Prime Minister, who is appointed by the parliament. Andorra's political landscape is characterized by a multi-party system, with various parties representing different interests and ideologies.
