Ancient Greek Armor
Ancient Greek armor, primarily used by hoplites, consisted of several key components. The most recognizable piece was the hoplon, a large round shield made of wood and covered in bronze. Soldiers also wore a bronze breastplate to protect their torso and a helmet that shielded their head while allowing for visibility and breathability.
In addition to these, hoplites donned greaves to protect their shins and often wore a chiton, a tunic that provided comfort and mobility. The combination of these elements allowed Greek soldiers to be well-protected in battle while maintaining agility on the battlefield.
