Amanullah Khan
Amanullah Khan was the King of Afghanistan from 1919 to 1929. He is known for his efforts to modernize the country and reduce foreign influence, particularly from Britain. His reign saw significant reforms in education, women's rights, and infrastructure development.
Despite his progressive policies, Amanullah faced opposition from conservative factions within Afghanistan. In 1929, he was overthrown during a rebellion and went into exile. His legacy remains mixed, as he is remembered for both his ambitious modernization efforts and the challenges he faced in implementing them.
