Alphabetical Order
Alphabetical order is a system of arranging words or items based on the sequence of letters in the alphabet. For example, the letters A, B, C, and so on are used to organize lists, making it easier to find specific entries. This method is commonly used in dictionaries, phone books, and indexes.
When sorting items alphabetically, the first letter of each word is compared. If two words start with the same letter, the second letter is then considered, and this process continues until a difference is found. This system helps maintain consistency and clarity in organizing information, such as books, names, or categories.
