Alpha a68
Alpha a68 is a massive iceberg that broke away from the Antarctic Peninsula in July 2017. It is one of the largest icebergs ever recorded, measuring approximately 5,800 square kilometers, which is roughly the size of Delaware.
The iceberg is part of the Larsen C Ice Shelf and has been closely monitored by scientists due to its potential impact on global sea levels. As it drifts in the Southern Ocean, researchers study its movement and melting patterns to better understand the effects of climate change on polar ice.
