Alpha Andromedae
Alpha Andromedae, also known as Alpheratz, is a bright star located in the constellation Andromeda. It is approximately 169 light-years away from Earth and is classified as a B-type giant star. Alpheratz is notable for being one of the corner stars of the Great Square of Pegasus.
This star has a surface temperature of around 17,500 Kelvin, giving it a bluish-white appearance. Alpha Andromedae is also part of the Andromeda Galaxy region, making it significant for astronomers studying the structure and dynamics of nearby galaxies.
