Beta Andromedae
Beta Andromedae, also known as Mirach, is a red giant star located approximately 197 light-years away in the constellation of Andromeda. It is classified as a spectral type M0 III star, indicating it has expanded and cooled after exhausting the hydrogen in its core.
Mirach has an apparent magnitude of 60, making it visible to the naked eye. It is often used as a reference point for astronomers when locating other celestial objects, including the nearby Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and the Triangulum Galaxy (M33).
