Algerian Geography
Algeria is the largest country in Africa, located in the northern part of the continent. It features a diverse landscape that includes the vast Sahara Desert, which covers more than four-fifths of the country. The northern region is characterized by the Atlas Mountains and a Mediterranean coastline, providing a contrast to the arid desert areas.
The country is bordered by several nations, including Tunisia, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, Western Sahara, and Morocco. Algeria's varied geography supports different climates, from the hot desert in the south to a more temperate climate in the north, influencing its ecosystems and agriculture.
