Alexander Severus
Alexander Severus was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 222 to 235 AD. He was born on October 1, 208, in the city of Arles, in what is now France. Alexander became emperor at a young age after the assassination of his cousin, Elagabalus. His reign is noted for attempts to restore stability and improve relations with the Senate.
During his rule, Alexander Severus focused on military reforms and economic stability. He faced challenges from external threats, including invasions by Germanic tribes. His reign ended when he was assassinated by his own troops in 235 AD, marking the beginning of the Crisis of the Third Century.
