Alevi Muslims
Alevi Muslims are a distinct branch of Islam, primarily found in Turkey, Iran, and parts of the Middle East. They follow a unique interpretation of Islamic teachings, emphasizing the importance of the Ahl al-Bayt, or the family of the Prophet Muhammad. Alevi beliefs incorporate elements of Sufism and focus on personal spirituality, community, and social justice.
Alevi practices differ from those of mainstream Sunni and Shia Muslims. They do not have a formal mosque system; instead, they gather in places called cemevis for worship and community activities. Their rituals often include music, poetry, and communal meals, reflecting their rich cultural heritage.
