Alevi Islam
Alevi Islam is a branch of Islam primarily found in Turkey, Iran, and parts of the Balkans. It emphasizes the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and his cousin Ali, who is considered the first Imam. Alevi beliefs incorporate elements of Sufism and focus on inner spirituality, community, and social justice.
Alevi practices differ from mainstream Sunni and Shia Islam, particularly in their rituals and worship. They often gather in a place called a cemevi for communal prayers and ceremonies. Alevi teachings promote tolerance, equality, and respect for all faiths, reflecting their inclusive approach to spirituality.
