Albanian Independence
Albanian Independence refers to the declaration of independence by Albania from the Ottoman Empire on November 28, 1912. This event marked the establishment of Albania as a sovereign nation after centuries of foreign rule. The declaration was made in the city of Vlorë by Ismail Qemali, who became a key figure in the country's national movement.
The independence was recognized internationally at the London Conference in 1913, although Albania's borders were contested. Despite facing challenges, including territorial disputes and political instability, the declaration laid the foundation for the modern state of Albania and its national identity.
