Ismail Qemali
Ismail Qemali was an important Albanian politician and leader in the early 20th century. Born on February 16, 1844, in the city of Vlorë, he played a crucial role in Albania's struggle for independence from the Ottoman Empire. Qemali is best known for declaring Albania's independence on November 28, 1912, which marked a significant moment in the country's history.
After the declaration, Qemali became the first Prime Minister of Albania, working to establish a new government and promote national unity. His efforts laid the foundation for the modern Albanian state, and he is remembered as a national hero for his contributions to the country's sovereignty. Qemali passed away on January 24, 1919.
