Alaungpaya
Alaungpaya was the founder of the Konbaung Dynasty in Burma (now Myanmar) during the 18th century. He is known for unifying various regions of Burma and establishing a strong central government. His reign began in 1752, and he played a crucial role in resisting foreign invasions and expanding the territory of his kingdom.
Alaungpaya is also recognized for his military strategies and efforts to promote Buddhism. He initiated several construction projects, including the famous Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon.
