Konbaung Dynasty
The Konbaung Dynasty was the last ruling dynasty of Burma, established in 1752 and lasting until 1885. It emerged after the fall of the Toungoo Dynasty and is known for its efforts to unify the country and expand its territory. The dynasty faced numerous challenges, including internal strife and external threats from neighboring countries.
During its reign, the Konbaung Dynasty saw significant cultural and economic developments, including advancements in art and literature. However, it ultimately fell to British colonial forces during the Third Anglo-Burmese War in 1885, leading to the annexation of Burma into the British Empire.
