Al-Marwah
Al-Marwah is a hill located near the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is one of the two hills, along with Safa, that pilgrims walk between during the Sa'i ritual of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. This act commemorates the search for water by Hagar, the wife of the prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), for their son Isma'il (Ishmael).
The hill stands approximately 450 meters from the Kaaba and is about 30 meters high. Pilgrims traditionally walk back and forth seven times between Safa and Marwah, symbolizing perseverance and faith. Al-Marwah is an essential part of the pilgrimage experience, reflecting the historical significance of the site.
