Agnes of Bohemia
Agnes of Bohemia was a 13th-century princess born in 1211, the daughter of King Ottokar I of Bohemia. She is known for her deep commitment to her faith and her role in founding the Poor Clares order in Prague. Agnes dedicated her life to serving the poor and promoting religious devotion.
In 1234, she became a nun and later served as the abbess of the St. Clare Monastery. Agnes was canonized as a saint in 1989 by Pope John Paul II, recognizing her contributions to the church and her charitable works. Her legacy continues to inspire many in the Christian faith.
