Aedes Mosquitoes
Aedes mosquitoes are a genus of mosquitoes known for their distinctive black and white markings. They are primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions and are most active during the day. These mosquitoes are known carriers of various diseases, including Dengue fever, Zika virus, and Chikungunya.
The Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus species are the most common and are often found in urban areas. They breed in stagnant water, such as in containers, puddles, and plant saucers. Effective control measures include eliminating standing water and using insect repellent to reduce bites.
