Adjective Inflection
Adjective inflection refers to the grammatical changes that adjectives undergo to express different qualities, degrees, or relationships. In many languages, adjectives can change form to indicate comparisons, such as positive, comparative, and superlative degrees. For example, in English, the adjective "big" can become "bigger" for comparison and "biggest" for the highest degree.
In addition to comparison, adjective inflection can also involve changes based on gender, number, or case, particularly in languages like Spanish or German. For instance, in Spanish, the adjective "alto" (tall) changes to "alta" for feminine singular and "altos" for masculine plural, demonstrating how adjectives agree with the nouns they modify.
