Adeliza de Clermont
Adeliza de Clermont was a notable figure in the 12th century, known for her marriage to Henry I of England. Born around 1100, she was the daughter of Robert de Clermont, a French nobleman. Adeliza became queen consort after the death of Henry's first wife, Matilda of Scotland, and played a significant role in the royal court.
As queen, Adeliza was involved in various charitable activities and supported the church. Her marriage to Henry I was childless, but she remained a respected figure until her death around 1151. Adeliza's legacy is often overshadowed by other historical figures of her time.
