Adelheid of Germany
Adelheid of Germany was a queen consort of the Holy Roman Empire, born around 931. She was the daughter of King Rudolf II of Burgundy and became the wife of Emperor Otto I in 951. Adelheid played a significant role in the political landscape of her time, particularly in the consolidation of the German kingdom.
After the death of her first husband, King Lothair of Italy, she faced challenges from rival factions but successfully regained her power. Adelheid was known for her piety and support of the church, contributing to the establishment of several monasteries and churches throughout her reign.
