Acueducto de Segovia
The Acueducto de Segovia is a remarkable Roman aqueduct located in the city of Segovia, Spain. Built in the late 1st century AD, it was designed to transport water from the nearby mountains to the city. The structure is made of granite blocks, and it features 166 arches, with the tallest reaching about 28.5 meters.
This aqueduct is one of the best-preserved monuments from the Roman era and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It spans approximately 818 meters and showcases the engineering prowess of the Romans. Today, it remains a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Segovia's rich history.
