Aconitum Napellus
Aconitum Napellus, commonly known as monkshood or wolfsbane, is a perennial plant belonging to the Ranunculaceae family. It is native to mountainous regions of Europe and is recognized for its striking blue to purple flowers, which bloom in late summer. The plant can grow up to 1.5 meters tall and prefers moist, well-drained soil in partial shade.
All parts of Aconitum Napellus are toxic due to the presence of alkaloids, particularly aconitine, which can cause serious health issues if ingested. Historically, it has been used in traditional medicine, but caution is advised due to its poisonous nature.
