Acholi Subregion
The Acholi Subregion is located in northern Uganda and is known for its rich cultural heritage and agricultural activities. It comprises several districts, including Gulu, Amuru, and Nwoya. The region is predominantly inhabited by the Acholi people, who have a strong tradition of music, dance, and storytelling.
Historically, the Acholi Subregion has faced challenges, particularly during the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) conflict, which caused significant displacement and disruption. Today, efforts are underway to rebuild communities and promote development through education, health services, and infrastructure improvements.
