Acer Negundo
Acer negundo, commonly known as the boxelder, is a species of maple tree native to North America. It typically grows between 30 to 60 feet tall and has a fast growth rate. The tree is easily recognizable by its compound leaves, which consist of 3 to 5 leaflets, and its greenish-yellow flowers that bloom in spring.
Boxelder trees thrive in a variety of soil types and are often found near rivers and streams. They produce small, winged seeds called samaras, which are dispersed by the wind. While the tree is valued for its shade, it can also be considered invasive in some areas.
