Acadian Flycatcher
The Acadian Flycatcher is a small songbird belonging to the family Tyrannidae. It is primarily found in the eastern United States and parts of Canada, often inhabiting moist woodlands and riparian areas. This bird is known for its distinctive call, which sounds like a soft "pee pee pee," and its olive-green plumage with a pale yellow belly.
During the breeding season, the Acadian Flycatcher builds its nest in shrubs or low trees, typically laying three to five eggs. It primarily feeds on insects, catching them in mid-air or picking them off vegetation. This species is migratory, wintering in Central America and northern South America.
