Abu Hurairah
Abu Hurairah was a prominent companion of the Prophet Muhammad and is best known for his extensive narration of hadith, which are sayings and actions of the Prophet. Born in 603 CE in Yemen, his real name was Abd al-Rahman ibn Sakhr. He embraced Islam in 629 CE and dedicated his life to learning and spreading the teachings of Islam.
He is recognized as one of the most prolific narrators of hadith, with over 5,000 reported. His contributions significantly shaped Islamic scholarship and understanding. Abu Hurairah served as a key figure in the early Muslim community and passed away in 681 CE in Medina.
