Absecon Lighthouse
Absecon Lighthouse is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey and stands as the tallest lighthouse in the state. Completed in 1857, it reaches a height of 171 feet and features a distinctive black and white striped design. The lighthouse was built to guide ships safely along the New Jersey coastline.
Visitors can climb the 228 steps to the top for a panoramic view of the surrounding area, including the Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse is part of the Absecon Lighthouse Historic Site, which also includes a museum that showcases its history and significance in maritime navigation.
