Aatma (Soul)
The concept of Aatma, or soul, is central to many spiritual and philosophical traditions, particularly in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is often viewed as the eternal essence of an individual, distinct from the physical body. The Aatma is believed to be immortal, undergoing cycles of birth, death, and rebirth, known as samsara, until it achieves liberation or moksha.
In these traditions, the Aatma is considered the true self, representing consciousness and individuality. It is often associated with qualities like awareness, perception, and moral judgment. Understanding the Aatma is seen as essential for spiritual growth and self-realization, guiding individuals toward a deeper connection with the universe.
