AC Motor
An AC motor is an electric motor that runs on alternating current (AC), which means the direction of the electric current changes periodically. These motors are widely used in various applications, from household appliances to industrial machinery, due to their efficiency and reliability. They typically consist of a stator, which generates a rotating magnetic field, and a rotor, which turns in response to this field.
There are two main types of AC motors: synchronous and asynchronous (or induction) motors. Synchronous motors operate at a constant speed, while induction motors can vary their speed based on the load. Both types are essential in converting electrical energy into mechanical energy, making them crucial for many modern technologies.
