Aécio Neves
Aécio Neves is a Brazilian politician and member of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB). He served as the Governor of Minas Gerais from 2003 to 2010 and was a federal senator from 2011 to 2019. Neves gained national prominence when he ran for President of Brazil in the 2014 elections, narrowly losing to Dilma Rousseff.
Born on March 10, 1960, in Belo Horizonte, Neves comes from a prominent political family. His grandfather, Tancredo Neves, was a significant figure in Brazilian politics and served as the first civilian president after the military dictatorship.
