5th Earl of Ilchester
The 5th Earl of Ilchester, known as Henry Fox-Strangways, was born on December 24, 1804, and became the 5th Earl in 1858 after the death of his father, the 4th Earl. He was a prominent British nobleman and politician, serving as a member of the House of Lords and holding various positions throughout his life.
He was also known for his contributions to the arts and his involvement in the management of the family estate, Melbury House. The 5th Earl passed away on March 12, 1876, leaving behind a legacy tied to both his title and his family's history.
