2008 Mumbai attacks
The 2008 Mumbai attacks were a series of coordinated terrorist attacks that took place in Mumbai, India, from November 26 to November 29. A group of ten militants from the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out shootings and bombings at multiple locations, including the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Leopold Cafe, and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
The attacks resulted in the deaths of 166 people, including foreign nationals, and injured over 300 others. The incident highlighted vulnerabilities in India's security and led to significant changes in counter-terrorism policies and practices within the country.
