초막절
초막절, or the Feast of Tabernacles, is a significant Jewish holiday that occurs five days after Yom Kippur. It lasts for seven days and celebrates the harvest and the Israelites' journey in the wilderness. During this time, families build temporary shelters called sukkot to remember their ancestors' reliance on God.
The holiday is marked by various rituals, including the waving of the Four Species—a palm branch, myrtle, willow, and citron. 초막절 emphasizes gratitude for the harvest and the importance of community, as families gather to share meals and celebrate together in their sukkot.
