스페인 인quisition
The 스페인 인quisition, or Spanish Inquisition, was a judicial institution established in 1478 by the Catholic Monarchs, 페르난도 2세 and 이스ABEL. Its primary aim was to maintain Catholic orthodoxy in their kingdoms, particularly targeting converted Jews and Muslims suspected of secretly practicing their former religions.
The Inquisition operated through a series of trials and investigations, often employing harsh methods, including torture. It played a significant role in the religious and political landscape of Spain, contributing to the consolidation of power by the monarchy and the spread of Catholicism throughout the region.
