베이징 조약
The 베이징 조약 (Treaty of Beijing) was signed in 1860 between the Qing Dynasty of China and the British and French Empires. This treaty concluded the Second Opium War and resulted in significant territorial and economic concessions for the foreign powers. It allowed for the legalization of the opium trade and opened several Chinese ports to foreign trade.
Additionally, the treaty ceded the territory of 홍콩 (Hong Kong) to Britain and recognized the rights of foreign missionaries in China. The 베이징 조약 marked a crucial moment in China's interactions with Western powers, leading to increased foreign influence and control over Chinese affairs.
