野牛
野牛, or bison, are large, herbivorous mammals native to North America and Europe. They are known for their massive bodies, thick fur, and distinctive hump on their shoulders. Bison primarily graze on grasses and can weigh up to 2,000 pounds. They play a crucial role in their ecosystems by helping to maintain grassland health.
In the past, bison roamed the plains in vast herds, but their populations drastically declined due to overhunting and habitat loss. Conservation efforts have been implemented to protect these animals, and they are now found in several national parks, including 黄石国家公园 (Yellowstone National Park) and 大平原国家公园 (Great Plains National Park).
