西軍
西軍, or the "Western Army," refers to the military forces that opposed the 東軍 (Eastern Army) during the 大坂の陣 (Siege of Osaka) in the early 17th century. This conflict was part of the larger struggle for power in Japan following the 戦国時代 (Warring States period). The Western Army was primarily composed of the 豊臣家 (Toyotomi clan) supporters, who sought to maintain their influence against the rising power of the 徳川家 (Tokugawa clan).
The Western Army was led by 豊臣秀頼 (Toyotomi Hideyori), the son of 豊臣秀吉 (Toyotomi Hideyoshi). Despite their initial strength, the Western Army ultimately faced defeat at the hands of the Tokugawa forces, leading to the end of the Toyotomi clan's power and the establishment of the 江戸幕府 (
